On Homosexuality & the Schism of the Church
An Open Letter to
the Anglican / Episcopal Church
Dear Brothers and Sisters:Recently, the election of a gay bishop in New Hampshire has caused a great controversy and a possible schism within the Anglican / Episcopal Church. Fortunately, God, the Heavenly Father of All, has given a New Revelation on homosexuality and the possible schism for the Anglican / Episcopal Church. Hopefully, this New Revelation can bring the Church back into unity of faith and love.
1. The Word of God on Homosexuality with the Testimony of World History
1. The Word of God on Homosexuality with the Testimony of World History
The Word of God on the issue of homosexuality is quite clear. In the Bible, both Moses (in Leviticus 18:22, 20:13) and Paul (in Roman 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10) revealed the Word of God against the homosexual practice between men. In Leviticus 18, God even put the homosexual sex between men in the same category as women having sex with animals. That’s how serious this matter is. These are actually the two most serious taboos in men and women’s sexual behaviors, according the Word of God.
Moses is the greatest prophet in the Old Testament and Paul is the greatest Apostle in the New Testament. When both of them had given the same warning on this issue, people should pay greater heed. Because homosexual practice between men is against the Word of God, there is a curse on this sexual activity, beginning in the time of Sodom and Gomorrah, and that curse is still valid today.
Through the Bible, we all know the disastrous result in Sodom and Gomorrah. And throughout the world history, there were many cases of disasters reflecting the Curse on Sodomy. In the beginning of the last century, Germany was the center of science, culture and philosophy in the world. There were many great scientists, philosophers and thinkers in this country. But it also became the center of homosexual practice. And shortly after that, God took the blessing away from them. First, they lost the World War I, then Satan came in to raise the evilest person in human history, Adolf Hitler, to the top of power in Germany. He caused millions of death and huge damage to the world and to Germany, as well. Those homosexual men in Germany also became the victims of the evil policy of Hitler. Germany itself was broke up and ceased to exist as one country at the end of World War II. The Curse on Sodom and Gomorrah happened again thousands years later.
At the beginning of this century, New York City became the capital of homosexuals, and disaster also happened. The terrorist attack on the September 11 caused the collapse of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the death of 3,000 people. These were not coincident. The Curse of God on homosexual practice is for real. It not only applies to individuals, but also to the nation as well. When people act against the Word of God, disasters won’t be too far away.
The Word of God against homosexual practice also has a health reason. The Men's sex organ should be one of the most sacred parts of his body. It should not be put into the filthy place where human waste exists the body. That practice is unsanitary and unhealthy, and that’s where the plague of AIDS started. But the AIDS / HIV is just one of the misfortunes caused by the Curse on Sodomy. When people act against the Word of God, there will be more real-life misfortunes, like accidents, injuries and family tragedies, in real life. When this kind of practice becomes popular, it could lead to much more severe consequences and disasters for the region or even for the whole nation.
In the last century, AIDS became the most deadly disease in the human history. It’s actually the first plague in the “Seven Wraths of God” prophesied in Revelation 16 of the Bible. The AIDS plague started mostly among homosexual men, then spread to the world through unprotected sex behaviors and blood transfusions. And now millions of people, both homosexual and heterosexual, suffered in the agony of AIDS / HIV, even the new born babies were infected. That's a horrible disaster. It's another proof of the Curse on Sodomy. If any one looks into history, he/she will find that homosexuality is nothing new in the human history. But every time it became popular in society, misfortune happened and people suffered. Then it died for some time before being revived again when the time got better. Then the disaster happened again. It’s like a cycle of ups and downs, and people paid hefty price every time when the disaster happened.
Some people may say that it's unfair to blame all these disasters to homosexual behaviors. I agree. I am not blaming homosexual behavior as the direct cause of those horrible disasters like the Holocaust or "Sept. 11". These disasters are caused by the evil spirit of Satan and hatred. But the fact is, when people acted against the Word of God, God also took His blessing and protection away from them. That leaves people vulnerable to the attacks of Satan, which will cause great misfortune and misery for people.
I am not here to judging anyone based on their sexual orientation. I am just here to reveal the dreadful consequence of this Curse on Sodom and confirm the Word of God with the testimony of world history. People should go back to the Bible and learn the lesson from both Scriptures and world history. I wish that I could have some “good news” for the homosexuals in this New Revelation for the “modern age”, but the only thing I can say is that both Moses and Paul were telling the truth on the issue of homosexuality. Homosexual practice is against the Word of God, and the Curse of God on Sodomy can cause very severe consequence to both individuals and the nation.
2. Love People but Not Their Behaviors
However, we should not discriminate people based on their sexual orientation. One of the two most important commandments of Jesus is to “love your neighbor as yourself”. It doesn’t matter what his sexual orientation is. Most homosexual people are gentle and nice people; they just don’t know what they are doing and don’t know the consequence of their behaviors.
Some people think that the homosexuality is a natural-born inclination so they should follow their natural desire. But the fact is that many parts of human nature can lead to the sins against the Word of God. For example, the sexual attraction is also a natural instinct of people, but if people follow their desires to adultery and promiscuity, they have sinned in the eyes of God. Solving dispute by force or taking something for free is also part of human nature, but they are not the excuses for killing or stealing. That’s why we need the law and the Word of God as the guidance in our life.
It’s the same thing on homosexuality. It’s not the love between men that causes the curse of God; it’s the homosexual sex between men that is against the will of God. God created man with more strength than women is for men to help and take care of women, not just for them to satisfy themselves. To love a woman is not just a privilege of a man, but also a responsibility of a man. If a man has a nature-born inclination to love other men instead of woman and decides to forfeit his responsibility to take care of a woman, then he should abstain from sex with other men, for it’s the sex between men that provokes the Curse of God. For those men who have special feeling for other men, it’s better to turn that feeling into brotherly love without sex than into something sexual.
For those who do not approve the homosexual behaviors, please do not discriminate against these men because of their sexual orientation. God told us to love the people, but not their behaviors. Let them know the Word of God with the testimony of world history and help them make an informed decision. “No Discrimination Against the Person and No Support for the Behavior” is the best way to show your love without provoking the Curse of God. The Curse on Sodomy is real, whether people believe or not. I just hope people can make an informed decision based on the Word of God and historical testimony.
3. Unity in Love not Division in Resentment
For the Episcopal Church, you are one of the most open-minded churches among varies Christian denominations, which God loves to see. But the open-mindedness should base on the solid foundation of Word of God. Currently some churches offer blessings on the gay marriage. This kind of blessing is not valid. It’s only the goodwill of the priests, not the true blessing of God.
In the Bible 1 & 2 Samuel, Jonathan, the son of King Saul, also had a homosexual feeling toward David. He even saved David’s life. But his love for David did not receive the blessing of God, as he died shortly with his father in the battlefield. David eventually became the King of Israel. That’s the proof that there is no blessing from God for the homosexual relationship between men, but there is no curse on the love either. It’s the sexual behavior between men that causes the Curse of God on Sodomy.
Now with the controversy of gay bishop in New Hampshire, instead of dividing the church, it’s better to create a new branch for homosexual Christians. For homosexual people also need a place to learn the Word of God. There is a reason to believe that the gay bishop in New Hampshire is a very nice person, otherwise people wouldn’t elect him to such an important position. But he should not put his personal sexual favorite above the Word of God. He should not oversee the activity of general congregation, but he can lead the homosexual branch of the Episcopal Church in his area. Homosexual Christians also need love and care from the Church, and that gay bishop may be able to provide more of the help and understanding they needed than other non-homosexual people.
This is the time for the Millennium Kingdom as prophesied in Revelation 20. All people of God should unite to bring the kingdom of God onto the Earth, not divide because of people’s sexual orientation. Let’s work together to keep the unity of faith and love, and prepare for the New Era of Peace & Wisdom. God bless.
