Chapter 5.1
Heavenly Love
In most religions, people are always taught to be nice to others and to love others like brothers or sisters. However, the loves in different religions are not at the same level. There is difference between Brotherly Love and Heavenly Love, which is also the main difference between the First Phase of Word of God and the Second Phase of Word of God.Two Stages of Love:
1. Stage 1 (Brotherly Love):
Love your family members, relatives, friends, and neighbors as your brothers and sisters.
This is the beginning stage of love and generosity. Most people with faith in God or with basic moral standard can have this level of Brotherly Love for other people. This is the foundation of family and social harmony. However, in this World of Desire, people are driven by self-interest and self-centeredness. Sometimes even the simple Brotherly Love is lost among people. Relatives hurt relatives, friends cheat on friends, and even husband and wife can turn into bitter enemies. That’s the time when people’s Fortune Credits are ruined and misfortunes or tragedies are not far away.
Brotherly Love is important in keeping social harmony and reducing conflicts and crimes in society. Most people may have some down time in their lives. Helping others with Brotherly Love will not only benefit those in need, but also benefit those who are willing to help. For whatever charity and good deeds you have done, God will see it and reward you when the time comes.
However, Brotherly Love is just the First Stage of Love in the First Phase of Word of God. Like Jesus said in Matthew 6:46-47, "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?... And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others?" To get more blessings from God and make this world a beautiful and peaceful home for all mankind, people need to learn the importance of Heavenly Love in the Second Phase of Word of God.
2. Stage 2 (Heavenly Love):
Brotherly Love + Love all other people as yourself, including your enemies, and do good to those who hate you.
This is one of the two greatest commandment taught by Jesus in the Bible (Matthew 22:39). In the past, people often think that “Love your neighbor as yourself” is just for the “good neighbors” who treat us nicely. But as Jesus said, this love should also extend to those “bad neighbors” who are not so nice. "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:27-28). That’s where the most blessings of God and positive Fortune Credit come from.
In this World of Desire, there is competition almost everywhere. And that competition could turn into hostility and turn people into enemies against each other. When the hostility grows unchecked, it can turn into bitter conflicts or even bigger disasters or wars. That’s why it’s important to learn Heavenly Love to make this world more peaceful.
In world history, there were numerous cases in which people turned into enemies because of some misunderstanding. Only after the huge loss caused by conflicts and hostility, did people realize the terrible mistakes they had made. If people have Heavenly Love in their hearts, these conflicts could be settled at the beginning and the losses or disasters could be avoided. In the Middle Ages, there was extreme religious intolerance in Europe. Millions of people of God were persecuted and killed during the religious persecutions and conflicts. The church authorities thought that they were doing the right thing fighting against the enemies of God, but history proves them wrong. If they could remember the teaching of Jesus on Heavenly Love, these kinds of tragedies could be avoided.
People can make mistakes and be misguided into wickedness. Their behavior and practices of wickedness should be condemned, but we still need to love them as persons, just like our Father in Heaven does to all of us. “He causes his sun to rise on the evil and good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous” (Matthew 5:45). Most people make mistakes or do the wrong thing because “they don’t know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). It’s our responsibility to pass the Word of God to them and let them know the consequence of their behaviors. As the time of reward and judgment has already come, the reward and judgment will happen more quickly than before.
However, Heavenly Love is the love for people, not for their bad behavior or practices. If someone is doing wicked things, he should be stopped in order to be saved from the eternal judgment of God. That’s the way of Heavenly Love. For those people who break the law, they still need to pay their price for their crimes in order to redeem their negative Fortune Credit and avoid the dreadful judgment from God. Those who are willing to repent will get the forgiveness from God, and those who are willing to forgive others and love those who hate them will be greatly blessed by God.
Love is the best weapon to eliminate enemies. If you can truly love your enemies in your heart, you can hardly find any enemy. If they still try to hurt you, they are just ruining their own Fortune Credit to increase the positive Fortune Credit for you. That’s how the Fortune Credit was transferred. Before this revelation on Fortune Credit, most people don’t understand why we should love our enemies. Now you know why you need to love your enemies and do good to those who hate you. God, your Father in Heaven, is fair. If you can have Heavenly Love in your heart, you will be greatly rewarded with positive Fortune Credit, or “Treasure in Heaven”, which will eventually be redeemed as good fortune in the earthly life.
Heavenly Love is the combination of Love and Mercifulness taught by Jesus and Buddha. In the past four thousand years, most religious leaders taught their followers to love each other like bothers but they fought against other non-believers. Only Buddha and Jesus told people to love everyone, including those non-believers and enemies. That's a major difference between the First Phase of Word of God and the Second Phase of Word of God. It’s also the difference between Buddha/Christ and other prophets of God in human history. Even those great prophets and apostles in the Bible and Quran (Koran) didn't reach this level of Heavenly Love.
Currently most people, including religious people, either don't understand this commandment or just try to ignore it for some earthly reasons. That's why there are so many wars and conflicts happening around the world, even between people of God. That’s why this time God wants people to learn the true meaning of Heavenly Love, the highest level of love with the greatest blessing from God. Only when most people start to understand the true meaning of Heavenly Love will the Father’s plan of Heaven on Earth be carried out. Heavenly Love is the key to peace for the world and, more importantly, for the blessing of God of Heaven on Earth. Let's pass this message on and make the earth a wonderful place for all human beings.
